ADRIAN, Mich. — Bolstered by a 10-point night by Chrystelle Lopez, the Albion College women's lacrosse team handily defeated Adrian College, 19-6.

Lopez, a junior, scored five goals and added five assists. Sophomore Addie Pastor contributed three goals and an assist. Abby Sheklow and Destiny Okie each tallied a hat trick.

After Adrian drew first blood, Lopez got the Brits on the board with a free position goal.

Alexa Wild's free position goal gave Albion a 5-3 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the first half.

Albion took an 8-4 lead into the break.

The Britons controlled all of the momentum in the second half, scoring early and often. All three of Sheklow's goals came in the second half. The lead was enough for Albion to hold on for the win, snapping a two game losing skid.

Albion was 7 for 14 on free position shots.

Junior goalie Alexis Robinson (3-2) made five saves in the win.

The Britons will host Calvin University on Saturday for a 5 p.m. start.
