Box Score 2 ALMA, Mich. -- On a dreary Saturday afternoon, the Albion College baseball team dropped two games to Alma College, 7-5 and 7-0.
In the opener, the Britons saw a 5-0 lead vanish as the Scots eventually won in walk off fashion. In the top of the first, Albion scored its first run courtesy of a sac fly off the bat of freshman Matt McGann.
In the second, the Britons scored four unearned runs to build the lead to 5-0. Alex Cull roped a one out single, and later scored when Dylan Perry reached on an error. With the bases loaded, Justin Charron lifted a sac fly to drive in Perry.
The big blow came on a double from Kellan Huang, driving in a pair of runs.
In the home half of the fourth, Alma scored five runs off five hits to tie the game. The heartbreak came in the seventh when the Scots blasted a walk off home run to win the game.
Game two was all Alma from the start. The Scots rolled through Albion, putting up seven runs in six innings.
As of now, the Brits are slated to host Alma tomorrow, but with the weather the schedule may change. We will keep you posted at gobrits.com.
