GAME ONE: Hope 16 Albion 6
Helped by a 9-run third, the visitors took a commanding lead early on and never looked back. The Britons tacked on three runs in the bottom of the third. Gabe Mata was hit by a pitch to lead off the frame, and moved to third on a Patrick Merolla single. Sean Haddlesey drove a single to center, plating Mata and giving Albion its first run of the day.
With two on, a single to left off the bat of Huang drove in Merolla for the second run of the inning. With two away, Matt McGann continued his impressive freshman campaign with an opposite field single, scoring Haddlesey.
Hope added runs in the next two innings to keep their distance. The final three Albion runs came in the seventh. Perry and Merolla both drew walks, and Haddlesey reached on an error, loading the bases for Olszewski. The senior rolled over an RBI groundout to score Perry. Huang followed with a 2-run double to left, plating the pair and capping off the scoring.
Huang finished with three RBI in the game. He and McGann had two hits apiece.
GAME TWO: Hope 8 Albion 6 (8 innings)
Despite slugging three home runs in the nightcap, the Britons fell short in extras. Hope got on the board first in the first, but Albion had an answer in the hme half of the frame. Haddlesey legged out an infield single and stole second. With one away, Huang reached via error, allowing Haddlesey to score and tie the game.

The two teams traded runs in the fifth, with Albion's coming off a no doubt blast by Huang. The solo shot was hit deep into the parking lot, shattering the window of an Albion van.
The Flying Dutchmen held a 6-5 lead going into the bottom of the seventh, and Albion needed some heroics. Haddlesey greeted the new Hope pitcher with a game-tying homer to center, knotting the game at six and sending it into extra innings.
Albion's heroics were shot-lived, as a 2-out rally from Hope in the eighth gave the visitors an 8-6 win.
Gray tallied three hits in the game, while Haddlesey and Emery each finished with two.
