Haadsma, Conley sweep Athlete of the Week honors

FREELAND, Mich. – Albion men's lacrosse seniors Jace Conley and Gerald Haadsma have swept the first MIAA Athlete of the Week weekly honors, as announced on Monday afternoon. In Saturday's 22-1 rout of Hanover, the pair put up incredible numbers.

Conley scored five goals and added five assists in his 10-point performance. Early in the first quarter, Conley eclipsed the 200 career points mark, becoming just the third Briton to accomplish the feat. He later scored his 150th career goal, becoming Albion's all-time leader in goals scored.

Haadsma picked up 10 ground balls in the win, a vital part of Albion's lineup. The senior was 15 of 19 from the face off X as well. He now has 130 career ground balls, and a face off percentage of over 50 percent.

Conley, Haadsma and the rest of the Albion College men's lacrosse team will be back in action on Saturday when they host Otterbein. First face off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
