ANGOLA, Ind. – Two conference records, four school records and a load of personal bests highlighted the Albion College indoor track and field team's day at the MIAA Championships. Both teams placed third. The women's team scored 94 points while the men's team racked up 85.5 points.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Ashley Dubois, Lauren McDowell, Cianna Brown and Avery Campbell broke a school record with a time of 4:06.70. The quartet found themselves on top of the podium, winning the event for the Brits.

Brown set a new MIAA and Albion record in the triple jump, winning the event with a jump of 11.39m. Dubois took third in the event as well.

Senior Trevor Knowles made MIAA history, becoming the first to place in the top three in all three jumps. Knowles won the triple jump with a jump of 13.76m. He then went on to claim second in the long jump (6.76m) and third in high jump (1.89m).

Campbell continued to assert her dominance in sprints. She defended her title in both the 60m and 200m dashes, winning both events. Her time of 7.87 in the 60 meter dash set a new MIAA record.

Also making history in jumps was McDowell. With a jump of 5.47m, the senior set a new school record while earning third place on the podium. Alexis McGinley claimed fifth in the event (5.22m).

Right behind Knowles on the triple jump podium was sophomore Ronnie Puczkowski. His jump of 13.31m not only earned him second, but eighth all-time in Albion history.

With absolutely no practice, Elena Welker was phenomenal, earning third in the high jump. With a jump of 1.54 meters, the junior turned in the second-best jump in school history. She also placed sixth in the triple jump.

Three Brits – Derrelle Murray, Ed Hines and Connor Dewan – found the podium in the shot put. Murray finished second with a throw of 14.64m. Hines's throw of 14.58m was good for second, while Dewan finished sixth with a throw of 13.37m.
