Kerns wins National Championship, three compete at IHSA National Show

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Carli Kerns: National Champion.

Highlighted by Albion's first-ever National Champion, three members of the Albion College Equestrian team competed at the IHSA Nationals over the weekend.

On Saturday, Kerns made history for the Britons by winning Level II Western Horsemanship.

Sophomore Emily Brooks started the weekend by placing 10th in her hunt seat showing. Brooks showed in Individual Introductory Equitation. She wrapped up the weekend by finishing seventh overall in Individual Beginner Western Horsemanship.

Lauren Hall finalist in Individual Rookie Western Horsemanship

At the conclusion of the competition, Brooks earned the High Point Hunt Seat/Western Award.
