CLEVELAND, Ohio – In pure dominance, the Albion College men's wrestling team went 3-0 at the Dr. Si Ostrach Duals held by Case Western Reserve University. Sophomore Cade Odrobina was a perfect 3-0 for the Britons at 125.

ALBION 32 PENN COLLEGE 12

Albion started off the day strong with a tech fall win from Cade Odrobina. The sophomore dominated his opponent in a 21-5 victory, giving the Brits five points to start. Penn won the next two matches to take a 9-5 lead, but Max Honiss pinned TJ Martin in 1:56 to swing the momentum back in favor of the Brits.

At 157, freshman Justin Gorman earned a hard-fought 10-7 win, while Jack Smith gritted out a 7-6 decision at 174. With a 19-4 tech fall, Owen McDaniel racked up five more Albion points before freshman Matthew Bollman secured the match with a 14-2 major decision. CJ Krum pinned his second straight opponent, this one coming in 2:28 to send Albion into its second match victorious.

ALBION 27 CASE WESTERN RESERVE 17

Odrobina continued his stellar day by earning a 4-1 win in the CWRU dual. Similar to the Penn dual, the Spartans won the 133 and 141 bouts, but once again Honiss pushed the scoreboard back in Albion's favor. Honiss won via pin for the second time Saturday, this one coming in 2:43 for a lead the Brits would hold the remainder of the match.

Gorman went on to pick up a pin at 157 as Peyton Brooks claimed a 12-5 victory at 165. McDaniel, this time competing in the 174 bout, won with a 9-3 margin. The Spartans won at 184 and 197 with bonus points, but Krum secured the match for the Brits with another pin in 2:46.

ALBION 56 HIRAM 0

Coupled with Hiram forfeits, the Britons cruised to the shutout victory. Odrobina opened the match up with a pin in 1:22 for an easy six points. After a forfeit, Austin Matheney won via tech fall with a 17-1 tech fall. Brooks later won at 165 by the same margin, as Owen Turnbow cranked out a 17-2 tech fall in the 174 bout.

In the 197 matchup, sophomore Garrett Iobe cruised his way to a 19-4 tech fall. In just 1:07, freshman Colton Turk pinned his opponent to send Albion home with a perfect record.

Albion will be idle until their next MIAA dual at home on Feb. 1. That night, the Brits will welcome The University of Olivet for a 7 p.m. match.
