Women's lacrosse sees three selected as All-MIAA

LANSING, Mich. – The Albion College women's lacrosse team saw three players receive All-MIAA Accolades, as announced on Wednesday. Audrey DeWaters was a First Team pick, while Kyndall Lewis and Nicole Miller were named to the Second Team. 

DeWaters earned First Team honors for the second time in her career. The fifth year senior has been critical on defense – as well as adding offensive numbers – for the Britons. DeWaters leads the squad with 54 draw controls and 26 caused turnovers. Her 40 ground balls is good for second on the team. Additionally, SeWaters has netted 22 goals and added 11 assists. 

Lewis leads Albion with 40 goals to this point and has added 11 assists. Her 12 free position goals lead the team. As a midfielder, Lewis has contributed defensively. Causing 16 turnovers and controlling 29 draws, while collecting 28 ground balls. 

Miller has played every minute in goal this season for the Britons, putting together a record of 7-8. The sophomore has made 131 saves and has a save percentage just below 42 percent. She has faced 427 shots so far this season, and has a goals against average of 12.12.

The team travels to the No. 1 seeded Hope College this afternoon for a 4:30 p.m. game.
