Women's lacrosse sees three on MIAA teams

Three members of the Albion College women's lacrosse team have been named Second Team All-MIAA. Julia Ames, Nicole Miller and Anna Huard were all honored, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Ames earns her first MIAA selection after leading the Britons in draw controls and caused turnovers. 34 of her draw controls came in conference action, including a single-game record of 16 against Alma in the regular season finale.

Miller receives all-conference recognition for the second straight season. The junior made 138 saves this season to lead the MIAA, 66 coming in conference play. This is Miller's second year receiving Second Team accolades.

Huard, a freshman, made an immediate impact within the team and the league. Her 28 goals finished her second on the team, adding seven assists and 16 ground balls. In conference play, Huard netted 18 goals to lead the Britons.

The women's lacrosse team fell in the MIAA Quarterfinals on Saturday, a tough 12-11 decision to Adrian.
