NEW ORLEANS, La. – Three Albion track & field student-athletes have been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic.
Additionally, the team earned All-Academic Team honors from the association.
Will Davis and
Eddie Hines, who graduated with kinesiology degrees, earned the recognition as individuals on the men's side.
Tess Anthony, who double majored in biochemistry and Spanish, took home the honors on the women's side.
All three individuals also earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors earlier this year.
The men's team earned All-Academic Team honors by sporting a 3.1 cumulative GPA, while the women's squad posted a 3.49 mark.
In order to qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic, one must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 and have finished the season among the top 50 individuals or in the top 35 relays in their respective events in the country, according to the TFRRS listings.
To qualify as a team, the squad must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher.
