ALBION, Mich. — For the first time since 2021, an Albion men's lacrosse player has been named to the USILA Division III Team of the Week.

Senior Cal Stearns was awarded the honor following a six-goal, two-assist performance in the Britons' 15-5 victory over Otterbein last Saturday.

He also collected three ground balls that helped Albion secure extra possessions.

Jace Conley was the last Briton to land a spot on the national Team of the Week, having done so the week of April 21, 2021.

Stearns has scored 12 goals in the first three games of the season, which leads the MIAA. He is a three-time first-team All-MIAA selection and is looking to join Conley as the only two Britons to ever claim first-team honors four times.

Stearns and the Britons will be back in action on Saturday, February 28 at Wilmington. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
