MIDLAND, Mich. — The Albion western equestrian team won the IHSA Region 64 crown.
Anna Divis was the champion in reigning, while
Stellamia Aerts was the Level I horsemanship reserve winner.
Madison Weedon notched a title in ranch riding, and
Rose Stanton also captured a beginner horsemanship crown.
Alyssa McPhersen (rookie horsemanship) and Weedon (open horsemanship) were the reserve champions.
Divis finished fourth in the region for highpoint rider this season.
The individuals who were champions and reserve champions will advance to the IHSA Semifinals at Murray State in Kentucky from March 21-22.
Since Albion won the region as a team, the squad also qualified for the IHSA Semifinals.
