ALBION, Mich. - Albion College called on its ace to try to cool off an Alma College lineup that hit .360 against the Britons in a Wednesday doubleheader.

Mike Schypinski, who came into the game with a 6-1 record, only lasted into the fourth inning as he was touched up for 11 runs on 13 hits and three walks as Alma scored a 18-8 victory in the first game of the doubleheader at Frank Joranko Field.

Alma completed the four-game sweep of the Britons as it erased a 5-2 deficit by scoring three times in the fifth and plating a run in the sixth to send the Britons to a 6-5 loss.

Adam Mazza and Thomas Cox hit 2-run homeruns for Albion in game one. It was the first homeruns of the season for both. Davin Montgomery drove in three runs in the contest.

First-year players Tony Cappelletty and Michael Fischbach led Albion at the plate in game two. Cappelletty produced three hits and drove in a run, and Fischbach had two hits and a RBI.
