ADA, Ohio – Michael Fischbach slugged a double and triple and scored three times, Steven Marowski drove in three runs, and Spencer Bonofiglio and Shane Lindemann produced two hits apiece as Albion College tuned up for its first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association series with a 17-7 loss to Ohio Northern University.

The loss snaps Albion's four-game winning streak. The Britons, 6-3 overall, open a weekend series against six-time defending league champion Adrian College with a home doubleheader at 1 o'clock Saturday. The teams will play in Adrian on Sunday.

Lindemann scored on a wild pitch and Bonofiglio hit a RBI single as Albion plated two runs in its half of the first.

Ohio Northern answered right away as its first four batters drew walks. The Polar Bears went on to score five times in the first and they never trailed. The Polar Bears also exploded for seven runs in the eighth. Dan Belliveau, the cleanup hitter in the Ohio Northern lineup, went 2-for-4 with six RBI and four runs scored.
