ALBION, Mich. – Albion College started by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association baseball series with Calvin Colege by winning the Friday games at Champions Stadium.

Game 1: Albion 4, Calvin 2

Albion scored three times in the bottom of the sixth to rally for the victory.

Mar Bur broke a 2-2 with a double that scored Dylan Perry and Kellan Huang.

It lifted Drew Weaver (2-2) to the victory. The first-year pitcher allowed three hits in his complete game effort

Game 2: Albion 22, Calvin 6

Joe Turnbull collected just one hit, but drove in five runs. Huang added three hits and four RBI.

The Britons used four pitchers in the game, with Bret Chesla yielding two runs and six hits over five innings.

Albion will travel to Calvin Field for a 1 o'clock Saturday doubleheader to complete the series.
