Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. -- After winning four straight, the Albion College baseball team saw their win streak snapped on Sunday, falling to No. 17 Adrian College, 18-8. Kellan Huang and Dylan Perry each recorded three hits for the Britons.
With two outs in the top of the first, Huang singled to center. He came around to score on a Matt McGann double to give the visitors an early 1-0 advantage.
Adrian answered immediately with a three run home half of the frame and then tacked on four more in the bottom of the third.
The Britons cut into the Bulldog lead in the fourth, when Andrew Arszulowicz walked to lead off the frame. Perry laced a double to the gap in right center, putting two runners in scoring position with no out. Zac Gray delivered a single to left center, bringing in both runs.
Sophomore Patrick Merolla followed with a single. He and Gray moved 90 feet on a groundout. With two outs, Huang knocked a two-run single to center, trimming the Adrian lead to 7-5.
Adrian responded with a four run inning to halt the Albion momentum.
The final three Albion runs came in the seventh when Arszulowicz doubled home McGann and Huang. Perry followed with another double, driving in Arszulowicz.
The Britons committed five errors in the game.
Albion will travel to Kalamazoo on Tuesday for a single game against the Hornets. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
