Box Score 2 KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Despite putting up seven runs in both games, the Albion College baseball team was swept by Kalamazoo College, 14-7 and 15-7 on Sunday afternoon. The twinbill wraps up the weekend series against the Hornets.
In game one, Albion committed four errors in the loss. Patrick Merolla and Justin Charron both had 2-RBI games for the Brits. Gabe Mata, Zac Gray and Alex Cull drove in the other runs for Albion.
Merolla, a sophomore, also had a pair of doubles.
Kalamazoo scored five in the bottom of the first and never looked back, taking game two with ease. Charron had another multi-hit, multi-RBI game for Albion.
Mata also contributed two hits and two RBI in the nightcap. The Britons left eight runners on base in the game two loss.
The Britons will host Trine on Saturday for a MIAA doubleheader. Game times are scheduled for 1 and 3 p.m.
