LEXINGTON, Ky. -- For just the fifth time in program history, an Albion volleyball player has received American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region honors.
Carly Frank earned a spot on the first team and was one of 14 players from Region 7 that were honored on the squad.
The junior joins Chloe Webber (2021 and 2022), Olivia Alexander (2023) and Mariah Brenz (2023) as the only All-Region Britons in team history. Webber and Alexander received first-team recognition in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Frank led the MIAA in kills with 429 that also ranked 30th in Division III, the most in a single season in program history since Morgan Walter's 442 in 2008. Frank also notched a hitting percentage of .291 that was sixth in the conference en route to first-team All-MIAA recognition.
The Britons earned the No. 3 seed in the MIAA Tournament and finished the season with a 24-5 record which was only their fourth 20-win campaign in program history. They also made the MIAA Semifinals for the ninth consecutive year.
