FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Albion College volleyball was voted third in the MIAA Preseason Poll, announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Hope and Calvin were picked to finish first and second, respectively.
Despite a 10-23 overall record in 2024, the Britons notched a 5-3 mark in MIAA play which was their eighth consecutive season finishing with a winning record in league play.Â
Two returners claimed second-team All-MIAA honors last season. Paige Williamson collected her second consecutive spot on the all-conference team after leading the MIAA in both service aces (48) and digs (672). Carly Frank also received recognition, as she finished fourth in the conference with 303 kills.
For the second consecutive year, the MIAA Freshman of the Year belonged to a Briton as Kayda Herrick earned the honor in 2024 as well by leading all freshmen in the conference in kills with 297.
Albion opens their season up on Friday, August 29 at 7:30 p.m. as they host Wisconsin Lutheran as part of the Albion Invitational.
