Charles Frost extended Albion’s league dominance in theshot put in 1952. Following John Hass, who captured MIAA titles in1948, 1950, and 1951, Charles himself became a league champion witha mark of 43 feet, 3 1/2 inches.

He was no stranger to league championships, helping thebasketball team to the 1951 MIAA crown.

In all, Charles earned six varsity letters at Albion (three inbasketball and three more in track).

After graduating from Albion, Charles earned B.D. and M.Div.degrees from the Garrett Evangelical Seminary of the UnitedMethodist Church. The Youngs-town, Ohio, native has an employmenthistory of church and civic service. He currently serves as thepastor of visitation at the First United Methodist Church inWarren, Ohio. Charles’ past experience includes serving asthe human relations director for the city of Youngstown, serving asthe president (vice mayor) of the Youngstown City Council, andworking with the development office of the Cleveland GoodwillMinistry.

He founded and served as president of the Youngstown CommunityReading Council and the Steele Valley Home for Youth and has beenactive in many other educational and social servicesorganizations.

Charles has three sons, Michael, Anthony, and Raymond, and twodaughters, Charlotte and Lolanna.
