Larry contributed much to the Britons' successes in bothfootball and baseball during his years on campus. As the startingrunning back for the 1958 football team, Larry helped Albion winthe MIAA championship that year. In baseball, he earned a spot onthe All-MIAA team three years in a row, 1957-59. The Albion Collegebaseball team selected him as MVP in 1957, and he was alsoinstrumental to Albion's winning the league baseball championshipin 1959. His final career batting average was .377.

After Albion Larry coached football at Detroit Country DaySchool from 1964 to 1970 and was honored as Coach of the Yearduring that time. Then, for 27 years, Larry was the director ofadult and community education at Plymouth Canton Schools. He holdsa master's degree from the University of Illinois. Larry continuesto enjoy golf, tennis, softball, racquetball and skiing.

Larry now lives with his wife Dee in Canton. They havefour children: Tad, Darci, Erica and Amy.
