Kacy Davidson’s success in the classroom and on the basketball court and softball diamond culminated in her selection as the nominee from the state of Michigan for the NCAA Woman of the Year award in 2000.

Kacy was a four-time all-MIAA award winner in basketball, achieving first team distinction in 1998 and second team awards in 1997, 1999 and 2000. The three-time team captain finished with 1,046 points, a figure that still places her eighth on Albion’s all-time scoring list. She also proved to be a tenacious defender, collecting 40 steals in 12 games against MIAA rivals in 1998, placing her in a tie for third in the league for the season.

On the diamond, Kacy was an all-MIAA and all-region pick in 1998 after finishing among the MIAA statistical leaders in triples, stolen bases and runs scored.

A Dean’s List student every semester, the psychology and sociology major graduated summa cum laude with the highest GPA in the class of 2000 and she was selected for Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
