Albion College

George won four football letters at Albion and wasregarded as an outstanding lineman and team leader. He was also ahighly respected campus leader and was elected freshman classpresident in 1933 and senior class president in 1936. George beganworking for Union Steel Products while he was a student andremained at Union Steel for 44 years after graduation. He servedfor several years on the board of directors and retired as vicepresident for manufacturing.

Throughout his professional career George providedoutstanding community service. He belonged to numerousorganizations, served in many leadership roles and was a member ofthe school board for 12 years. George also helped coach the AlbionCollege football team in 1950 and 1951. He resides with his wife inAlbion.
