Glen Brittich will hold the distinction as one of Albion’s best defensive football players at the beginning of the 21^st century.

The Britons realized Glen’s unique talent in 2000, naming him the team’s Rookie of the Year.

A member of the Britons 2001 MIAA championship team, Glen went on to achieve all-MIAA first team status in 2002 and 2003 and he was the MIAA Most Valuable Defensive Player as well as the team’s Ironman Award winner and captain in 2003.

Moving back to linebacker for the 2003 season, Glen finished with 68 solo and 55 assisted tackles (4 ½ were for loss), an interception and a pair of forced fumbles.

A history major with a concentration in secondary education at Albion, Glen remained active in football and he was a member of the coaching staff for the 2005 Grand Valley State University squad that won the Division II national championship.
