Jennifer Kennedy transferred to Albion in 1991 andimmediately made her presence felt on the basketball court, earningthe MIAA’s most valuable player award in 1992, All-MIAAfirst-team honors in 1992 and 1993, and an NCAA PostgraduateScholarship and honorable mention All-America recognition in1993.

During the 1991-92 season, Jennifer led the league infield goal percentage by connecting on nearly 52 percent of herattempts. Listed as a 5-foot-6-inch guard, Jennifer averaged 14.6points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. Some ofher top games included a 26-point and seven-rebound performanceagainst Adrian and a 24-point, eight-rebound, seven-assist effortagainst Defiance.

Jennifer missed the opening practices and the first sixgames of her senior season while finishing an internship with theU.S. Information Agency. Nonetheless, she increased her per gameaverages to 17.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. Sheexploded for 29 points in a game against Kalamazoo, and 28 pointsversus Calvin. She finished the season with a selection as one ofthe top five women’s basketball players in the state ofMichigan, according tothe Detroit News.

Jennifer went on to complete an M.B.A. at the Universityof Detroit Mercy in 1999. She currently serves as the marketing andmedia coordinator for St. Mary Mercy Hospital inLivonia.
