Albion College

As student manager for three different sports, George providedan invaluable service to the players and coaches. His impact andpresence is reflected in the nine letters he earned: four inbaseball, three in football, and two in indoor track. During hisyears as a student manager for the baseball team, the squadcaptured one MIAA Championship.

Since graduation, George has stayed involved with both AlbionCollege and education. A former president of Albion College'sAlumni Association, he also completed two terms as an Albiontrustee. Prior to beginning his career in education, George servedtwo years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and earned a Soldier'sMedal Award. Since 1964, George has served education in severalcapacities. As a coach, he won three football championships, andone each in basketball and baseball. He also has been a teacher,counselor, assistant principal and principal, and currently is thedirector of placement, O.T.C./S.E. for the Royal Oak Schools.
