A great athlete, Jim lettered all four years in footballand baseball. He was a member of the MIAA championship footballteam in 1964, and he was the co-captain of the 1965 MIAAchampionship team. He was also a member of the MIAA championshipbaseball team in 1963.

Jim received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinoiswhere he now serves as a professor of kinesiology and is the headof the Department of Kinesiology.

Jim lives with his wife, Marilyn Spitler Misner, '68, inChampaign, Ill. They have two children, Kristin, '96, andAnne.
