Bill Schueller helped Albion claim five MIAA team championshipsin football and golf in the late 1960s.
On the links, Bill helped lead Albion to league championships in1967, 1969, and 1970. He was named Albion’s most valuablegolfer in 1968, and he shared the award in 1970 when he was alsonamed the MVP in the MIAA. Bill served as the captain of the golfsquad for the three seasons.
A four-year letter winner in football, Bill was a member ofleague championship teams on the gridiron in 1966 and 1969. Hefinished the 1967 season ranked sixth in the nation with a42.1-yard punting average. He achieved MIAA Lineman of the Week andAll-MIAA status in 1968.
Ten years after graduating from Albion, Bill earned hismaster’s degree in secondary education from Michigan StateUniversity. Now retired from the field of education, he owns GoldCore Schueller in Jenison.
Bill’s athletic achievements since graduating from Albioninclude coaching football and wrestling at Jenison High School,serving as an official at numerous state wrestling finals, winningthe Grand Rapids match-play golf event twice, placing in the finaleight in the state golf amateur tournament in the mid-1980s, andearning all-city golf honors in Grand Rapids numerous times.
Bill and his wife, Linn, are the parents of a son, Ross, and adaughter, Brooke.
