Albion College

Penny was an outstanding field hockey player at Albionwhere she was All-MIAA from 1972-1975. She was Albion's Co-MostValuable Player in 1972 and Most Valuable Player from 1973-1975. Ineach of her last three years Penny served as Albion's captain andwas the leading scorer. In addition to these awards, she wasselected as an honorable mention member of the Great Lakes FieldHockey Team in 1972 and to the first-team from 1973-1975. Pennyalso played tennis and won the MIAA third doubles tennischampionship in 1976.

After graduation Penny played for the Detroit Field HockeyAssociation and participated in national tournaments. She hasremained involved in education as a teacher and coach, currentlyserving as a learning specialist at Hathaway Brown School where sheis the middle school's field hockey coach. Penny resides with herfamily in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
