Albion College

A three-sport athlete, Mike Stone won three letters in football,two in basketball and two in track. He was a member of one MIAAChampion football team and two MIAA Champion track teams. Duringhis junior year he was selected as an All-MIAA performer infootball, and he was co-captain of the football team his senioryear. In track, he was league champion in the 100-yard dash in1959.

After graduation from Albion, Mike went on to earn master's andPh.D. degrees from the University of Michigan. Later, he served inadministrative positions at the the University of Michigan and atLake Michigan College and then as a captain in the Air Force(1973-77). He entered the business world in1977, and since 1983,has been president of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. In 1989, theRangers were selected as the Organization of the Year in majorleague baseball. During his tenure with the rangers, Mike hasserved on various committees for major league baseball, includingthe Committee on Social Responsibility and the All-Star SelectionCommittee.
