Jeff, better known as the “Voice of theBritons,” has now entered his 20th year as announcer forAlbion football and his 19th year for men's basketball. Britonathletics has never had a more avid fan. In addition, for 10 yearshe has been the announcer for the “Special Olympics”programs held on Albion's campus.

Currently Albion's vice president for academic affairs anddean of the faculty, he has also served as a professor of biologyat the College since 1979. Known internationally for his researchon sharks, Jeff has published many articles in professional andpopular magazines and has been featured on the “NationalGeographic Explorer” documentary series and in “SharkWeek” programs on the Discovery Channel. In recognition ofhis exemplary teaching and scholarship, he held the A. MertonChickering Endowed Professorship of Biology from 1994 to1998.

Jeff lives in Albion with his wife Carol and enjoys scubadiving, photography, film making, and fly fishing.
